Non-Drug Peripheral Neuropathy Treatments - Can They Really Help Stop the Pain and Numbness?

!±8± Non-Drug Peripheral Neuropathy Treatments - Can They Really Help Stop the Pain and Numbness?

Karen K. suffered burning peripheral neuropathy (PN) pains in both feet. She could not sleep without heavy medication. She had been on three different neuropathy medications for a year and a half and her condition was worsening. Worse yet, the medications were interfering with drugs she was taking for other health challenges. Not only was her pain worsening, but so was her health. She was desperate for not only relief but also a solution.

Many PN sufferers find themselves in a situation like Karen's. Often their doctors are just as frustrated, not having effective medications to offer. Whether a person's symptoms are due to diabetes, a drug side-effect, chemotherapy or disease, the problem is that a nerve is not working as it should. In the past few years, some new non-drug treatments are offering hope. But do they really work? Here is what I have found.

Neuropathy treatment protocols that include the use of the the ReBuilder ™, a type of painless electro-stimulation device in combination with chiropractic care to remove any nerve irritation, along with muscle work to remove pressure on a nerve from tight muscles, and special nutrients to speed healing of the nerve, is effective in a large percentage of cases in lessening the neuropathy symptoms.

PN sufferers I have spoken to found that if they simply used the ReBuilder ™ device alone, it helped some. Some had found supplements that helped a little as well. However, getting better from any health problem takes doing a lot of little things right. There is very rarely just one thing that will help you get better. Often by combining the right mix of physical and nutritional approaches, you can more than just feel better, you might even get better.

So far, patients who had suffered with PN from 1 year on up to 8 years from a variety of causes have seen reductions of their pains and numbness. Sleep and daily functions were improved and for some, neurological tests showed that their nerves were starting to function normally which means they were actually healing.

So how did Karen do with her treatment? Over a 5 week clinical trial the burning pains in her feet had cleared. She could feel her toes again. She was completely off one of her neuropathy medications, had cut another in half and was starting to wean off the third, and was still making progress. A follow-up visit to her neurologist for testing showed that her nerves were now firing normally.
